22 Nov TSP tackles 2016 CGCSA trade show
To finish out 2016, TSP headed down to Myrtle Beach for the annual Carolinas GCSA trade show. TSP has been apart of the show for many years now, and each year has been worthwhile. To start of the week, the sales team hosted a kickoff party at Putter’s Pub at Barefoot Resort. The Pub has a driving range made available for the group to do a chipping contest, as well as a corn hole tournament. This event was a huge success last year and this year as a way to kick back, relax, and hang out with customers and friends before the trade show week begins. Thanks to all the friends and customers who came out to support us!
On Monday, TSP sponsored a customer golf tournament at the Hackler Course at Coastal Carolina. Due to the bad hurricane weather earlier in the week, the turnout wasn’t as big as last year, but thanks to our customers who still came out to have a good time with us! Later in the day, it was time for the booth setup. This is a whirlwind event, with the multiple pieces of equipment that have to be driven in and different aspects of marketing that need to be put together. With an excellent group effort, the whole booth was basically finished in over an hour and the group was off to the annual employee dinner at the Sea Captains House!
Tuesday was the first day of the trade show. The show did not begin until 4pm, so there was plenty of time for last minute touches for the booth including video reels for the event trailer, cleaning equipment, and preparing to give out drink tickets for Carolinas Hour later that night. Not to mention the finishing touches to the new addition to the booth, Ron Wilson’s Turf Assistant booth. Throughout the show, attendees came to learn about Turf Assistant, inquire about the equipment, and visit Katie and Shelby to get their drink tickets for Carolinas Hour.
At 7pm, the trade show floor closed, and Carolinas Hour began right down in the hall in an adjacent ballroom. The ladies at the Carolinas and Katie with TSP did an excellent job planning the decor, layout, and food for the evening, and the event was packed! All the vendors and attendees seemed to have a great time eating, drinking, and mingling after the trade show before the own plans for night. Directly after Carolinas Hour, the TSP crew headed to a local restaurant, Mr. Fish, for a late night delicious seafood dinner. Thanks to all of our customers who came!
On the last day of the show, the trade show flowed as usual and TSP had to draw the winner of the drink tickets for the Apple Watch. Congratulations to Keith Noxon with Pine Valley Country Club for supporting TSP and we hope you enjoy the watch! Around 2:30, the trade show ended and it was time to pack up the booth. After another successful show, TSP is grateful to the Carolinas and thanks for another great trade show!
