To almost round out the end of summer, the Palmetto GCSA hosted their Annual Superintendent Championship at Prestwick Country Club in Myrtle Beach, SC. The club’s Paul Kaufman, Sammy Gore, and their staff did an exceptional job preparing the course and making it look spectacular for the championship despite the lack of run during this dry summer. In total, around 35 members came to play, and Tom Taylor from Tradition Club won the overall gross prize, and David Hughes from River Hills won the net prize. Lee Carmichael and his team consisted of Patrick OBrien with USGA and Sammy Gore from Prestwick. This event was a great way to get together for the end of summer, celebrate a great organization, and have a fun friendly competition out on the course. Congrats to the winners and thanks to Palmetto GCSA for hosting us!
